For the second time this year I headed down to Florida for racing. This time for the final 12 hours of what is known as the 36 hours of Florida. The second stop on the 2016 IMSA Weather Tech Sports Car Championship and the second round of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup; The Mobile 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Sebring International Raceway, a track that is as demanding as it is historic and would would be the 64th running. The race started under dry conditions but thunderstorms soon moved in and it had to be red flagged for a period of around two hours. What we got after the red flag was what you’d expect, heated competition and in the end it was the #2 ESM Honda powered Ligier that took back to back wins along with the #4 Corvette. Sebring might be my favorite race on the calendar. The history, the fans and the racing make it a must attend race. So if you haven’t, go. You will not regret it.
