As the sun sets on 2015 I find myself going through photos that I feel are the best ones I have taken over the past year. Thing is I hate most of them. Might sound dumb but it is a way of growing and hopefully building off what you did wrong and becoming a stronger […]
Well that’s it for 2014. I have a tendency after about a month to no longer like photos I have taken. This is how I hopefully continue to improve; take mistakes and build from them. I have grown an interest in photographing sunsets in 2014, so here is the one that turned out the best.
The night has a certain calm about it. A time to sit and reflect on the days events. It was noisy, the smell of race fuel was in the air and yet it was still calming. When I took this photo the race was already hours old. I was tired; everybody was. This was only […]
Motorcycles were never really something I was into until a couple years ago. Many factors have contributed to my liking of them, whether it was growing older or just wanting to branch out to something different from cars; while my knowledge of them is still in its infancy I’m glad I’ve gained an interest in them.
It’s not every day you find yourself at a world debut of something in the automotive world, it’s even more rare that you just happen upon it without even knowing. That’s what happened when I found out I was among the first people to see the new Rocket Bunny kit for the Third Gen Mazda […]
Having good friends in North Carolina, I make it a point to visit them once or twice a year. When you add the opportunity to go to Virginia International Raceway it is an obvious bonus. The coming five days offered three days of the SVT Superfest and two day of NASCAR open-testing; having five days […]
It’s that time of year again, the smell of spring is in the air and drifters from all over the upper Midwest descend upon the USA International Raceway in Shawano, Wisconsin; marking the start of ClubFR’s 11th season hosting drift events in the Midwest.
Winter is slowly loosening its grip on the northland. With the past week bringing us balmy temperatures ranging from 0 to 10°C, enjoying the outdoors and fresh air has now become an option again. I was given the opportunity to head to Duluth, Minnesota, a city on the western tip of Lake Superior, to join the […]
Being that it is winter here in Minnesota there isn’t too much to do, at least for me. I only seem to tolerate winter for a month or so. Being someone who enjoys anything motorsports related this is a tough time of year for me and this winter has been particularly rough. Enter Red Bull […]
Ford Chip Ganassi Racing. Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. Daytona Florida.
For the fourth year in a row I made my way to Michigan’s Keeweenaw Peninsula for the final round of the Rally America National Championship. It is one of my favorite rallies and like most years the fall colors and the action didn’t disappoint.
For the second time this year I headed down to Florida for racing. This time for the final 12 hours of what is known as the 36 hours of Florida. The second stop on the 2016 IMSA Weather Tech Sports Car Championship and the second round of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup; The […]
The final round of the 2015 Rally America National Championship; The Lake Superior Performance Rally. Brought with it crisp fall temperatures and wonderful colors. For the second year in a row I made the trip to cover the event, It rained and even snowed for most of the ride up. I was hoping it wouldn’t […]
It was finally time for an event that I’ve been waiting for since last year: Final Bout II. Last year’s event was awesome. The atmosphere, the teams, the cars and the camaraderie of the drivers and fans made it one of the funnest events anyone had ever been to.
Northern Minnesota is a peaceful, relaxing place. A place where you can go to get away from it all. See the headwaters of the Mighty Mississippi River and in the of August watch rally cars blast through these lazy dirt roads with the arrival of the Rally America Ojibwe Forests Rally. I made the three […]
By the time August rolls around the Tudor United Sportscar Championship season is already well underway, often making the 14 turn, 4.048 mile Road America a pivotal round in the series. This is the time of the season where teams need to look to extend a lead in points or gain points back. As always […]
Every year the Minnesota Street Rod Association hosts its annual Back to the 50s Weekend at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. It’s an absolute must for any car lover in Minnesota; heck, any car lover in the United States. I personally look forward to it every year. This year just under 12,000 cars model year 1964 […]
