It’s February, and that means Wekfest! It’s one of the only car shows any of us go to, so we’re making this coverage huge! The show was at Fort Mason for the second time, but I still miss the old days when it was in Japantown. Oh well, times change, so without further ado…

There were billions of cars everywhere, but the first one I shot was Sunny Liang’s 240Z during load-in. What an honor!

Sean Shokouh always has something new to show off. This year it was a Miata with pretty radical body treatment.

 

It even had an authentic Pit Crew front end on it! Nuts!

 

Sean also brought a VIP Previa. I love VIP and I love Previas so this is a good combination!

 

Load-in is your only chance to see all the cars without other cars getting in the way.

 

Nothing wrong with just having a really clean street car.

 

Racing style will get you more attention though.

 

Flat black looks pretty good on luxury cars. I wouldn’t mind dailying this Lexus at all!

 

Another clean Subaru.

 

You can’t have a car show without a few Civics. It seems like EG’s and EK’s aren’t as plentiful anymore but I don’t think they’ll ever disappear completely.

 

Media got to go into the show two hours before the crowd. Can you imagine trying to shoot with all those people trying to get in your way?

 

We had to work fast to see everything while we still could.

 

There were still some people, but it was nothing a little long exposure couldn’t take care of.

 

When the crowd finally does come in, that means it’s time for wider lenses! Speed Element and their customers had tons of Evos at the show.

 

There was not one, but two silver R33 Skylines. Awesome!

 

When the J’s Gathering turned into Wekfest, suddenly Euros and domestics were part of the show. It was different, but they were still cars. This was the first time I saw a brodozer.

 

Gotta love rainbow iridescent Work Meister S1′s.

 

First a brodozer and now a donk. This show sure has a lot of variety now.

 

This is almost enough stickers. Just a few more and it’ll be perfect.

 

Oh, this Mini has been around. I remember seeing it in the Japantown parking garage.

 

I love that he’s so proud of his 13″ wheels.

 

I was hoping to see more race cars, but there was just a small handful of drift, time attack, and weekend warrior cars. I guess the spectators like show cars more.

 

People were pretty interested in the F20 sitting in the engine bay of Luke Crowell’s 510.
