As with tradition, I ended up at Venice Beach the day after Formula D Long Beach again. This time Geoff wasn't able to make it, but Justin and Annie came along and we met up with Joe, Brooke, and Yoshi.

It was going to be a fun, relaxing day regardless, but I really wanted to find

Remember a few months ago when we posted
Stuck on NBC? Well, if you don't, it was about how an NBC camera crew came to Larry Chen's house in LA while we were all down there for Formula D Irwindale and filmed them talking about their video
Stuck. Well, the episode of Caught on Camera finally aired, and here's the bit! Check it…

Every year as the year comes to a close, Thunderdrift gives you one last chance to go drifting. This year's big year-end event was Sam Mercado's Tropical Hula Girl Drift, which consisted of Super-Am Round 4 on the Driftpad with open drifting and gripping sessions on the big track. Not a bad way to spend the last weekend before Christmas if you ask me.

Every few months Frank Siharath from Garage Boso comes up to Performance Options in Oakland to do some ECU tuning on NorCal cars. This time, Pat Mordaunt drove up with Frank and took a few moments from his busy day to let me interview him. Thanks Pat!

Meet Sam Mercado. He's an artist in Puerto Rico who decided to get in the tee shirt game. He's also into drifting, which is what led him to becoming a fan of Justin Shreeve's videos. One day, he hit up Justin on Facebook to see what Justin thought of his artwork. Justin checked out Sam's site, AttackWorks.net, and was blown away with the awesomeness.

While we were all in LA for Irwindale, NBC came out to Larry's house to shoot an interview segment for their show
Real or Fake. Interviewer David Garte asked them all about their
Stuck video as the rest of us blasted them behind the scenes.

Geoff and I rolled down to LA a few days early for Formula D Irwindale so we'd have time to hang out with some friends. Antonio Alvendia is a big fan of Sailor Jerry and root beer, so we stopped by BevMo on the way out of town and picked up a handle of Sailor and 13 different root beers to try out.

Here at Life Blasters we bring you a pretty wide variety of stuff. We're all photographers in the automotive industry, but this isn't about that. Sure we cover a lot of car events, but the essence of Life Blasting happens off the track, behind the scenes, on the way to or from an event, at your house, or on vacation. Life Blasting is about attacking life…

A few Fridays ago I went up to visit my friend Kiavash Shariloo at his Subaru shop, TD Garage. Kia had a cool new motorcycle project going on, and I wanted to get pictures of all the disassembled parts before he sends them out to chrome/powdercoat.

As if two east coast Formula D trips two weeks apart didn't make our lives hectic enough, Joe and Justin invited Fabian Fernandez, Luke Lonberger, and Ryan Kado to come to Drift Evolution up in Oregon on the weekend in between. I usually think of Oregon as just the California-Washington border, but hey, if Joe and Justin invited people to come, it might be fun.

A long time ago I met a kid who drove a Scion TC; that kid is Siam Chautavipat. Since then he has upgraded and graduated, making a name for himself in the Northwest going from stock 240's, to a Super Made coupe, to this 400+ horsepower beast that we were prepping to get painted over the weekend.

The night before…

I've been looking forward to Formula Drift Atlanta for a long time now. Of all the stops FD takes, I think Atlanta is my favorite. The track, people, scenery is just amazing. Before I headed out, I rented a few tilt shift lenses to use while out there. I was really excited to try them out, so Justin and I got to using them in the airport.
