Formula D Atlanta: Part 1

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012
Road Atlanta is a lot of people's favorite track. Personally, I like it because of all the colors and the lack of fences. That makes it an easy place to shoot. It's a favorite for fans because of the layout. Instead of parking your car, walking hella far, and sitting in your seat, you can drive your car almost right up to the track, have a tailgate party, set up a canopy, bring your own chairs and a cooler, and chill. For the drivers, they like the fact that it's an actual road course as opposed to an oval or… Read More

New Venue in Oregon Sees Some 1JZ Drifting!

Monday, May 7th, 2012
May 6th, 2011, marked the first day drifting has ever been allowed on the Jackson County Sports Park kart track, located in White City, Oregon, since its opening in 1996. Having autocrossed on this track, in this very car, back in late '07, I've been chomping at the bit to drift here for quite a while. Thanks to a local European car club, RogueEuro.com, this dream became a reality.   Read More

Pat's Acres Season Opener

Monday, March 12th, 2012
Last Sunday marked the opening day for 2012 drift season at Pat's Acres Racing Complex, commonly known as PARC, hosted by Loki Motorsports. In addition to this, it would also be the first time that the track's new extensions would be driven on. Having these new extensions would help the track have a better flow for the avid drift enthusiasts that regularly attend. … Read More

ThunderDrift’s “Fulltrack February”

Tuesday, February 7th, 2012
Last Saturday was ThunderDrift's Full-Track February event. Upon arrived to the track, I found our favorite red dreaded Formula D dude, Luke Crowell, out rippin' in his Cressida.   Read More

A Year in the Life of a Shreeve

Saturday, December 31st, 2011
While digging through thousands (okay, hundreds maybe) of my photos from this year, I came upon this conclusion: I need to either take way more photos or stop altogether. That being said, here is a compilation of not the greatest photos, but rather the greatest moments of 2011 that I happened to capture with my picture taking device.   Shown above is an upset Chinese toddler whose stupid mother purchased the wrong flavor instant soup.… Read More

Matt’s S13

Saturday, December 24th, 2011
I first encountered Matt Madrigali's S13 when it was up at Luke Lonberger's Mountain Shop above Los Gatos in 2008. It didn't look too different from how it looks now, but Luke was working on the engine and fuel system as fast as Matt could pay for it. Matt bought the car in 2007 already painted and with the widebody already… Read More

Ayala’s 2011 Year in Review

Thursday, December 1st, 2011
What a year 2011 has been. It's been such a privilege to be a part of the Life Blasters crew, and I can't wait for what 2012 holds in store for us. My first Life Blasters post was on the PGP event in March, so I think I'll start with that. Jason Cancio has probably my absolute favorite car that drives that track. Not for its JDM radness, but for its pure originality. Stock metal, stock wheels, stock aero, slammed rwd STi hatch cannot lose.… Read More

Wait a moment... let me do some explaining to prepare you for what you're about to read before I continue. This may prove to be the most difficult to understand article you've ever… Read More

TANDEM OF DIE | Cell Mates | Teaser

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011
What I'll miss about metal quarter panels is rubbing off the excess sidewall when running fresh tires and seeing the looks on the faces of concerned pedestrians and drivers alike. I'll also miss occasionally being pushed down the highway by the likes of Joe Ayala or Geoff Pitts BECAUSE MISSILE CAR.   The thing is, I'm starting to grow up (kinda) and my car is following suit and that's okay. Life sucks without change. Here's to a new generation of mine and Joe's cars. One filled with big lips, stretched… Read More

Cleaning House: Hidden Treasures

Saturday, October 22nd, 2011
The last year of my life has been filled with many great adventures and fun times spent with friends. I've traveled the country more than ever, following the Formula Drift Series, and have even found my way overseas to Rudskogen, Norway for Gatebil and Tianjin, China for the World Drift Series. I've done so much in such a short amount of time that I'm finding it difficult to keep it all in. Luckily, I'm a member of the media, which is a group of people who are constantly taking photos and video of each other for… Read More

Drift Evo Rd. 4

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011
Off with the old and on with the new. As some of you may know, Justin and I recently picked up some new kicks for our cars. His 17x10.5 +11 Work VS-KFs and my 17x10.5 +11 Work VS-XXs would be the first proper set of wheels that our cars have worn. Justin wasted no time on converting his car to 5 lug. While under his car he increased his steering angle a lot more by throwing in some Cor Integration knuckles (chuckles) by John Corvinus, Tein tie rods, and a pair of steering… Read More

Drift Evolotion Rd. 4skin

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011
AYALA - Yeah! Drift Evolution starts again! This is the 4th round out of 6 this year.  The event seems to bring more and more interest with every event, bringing drivers from all along the west coast. Justin wasn't taking any chances driving his unregistered and uninsured car to this event as he had in the past. So he had it towed by the Tandem of Die support vehicle, Joseph Shreeve's Chevy Luv.   Read More

Let there be Paint

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011
A long time ago I met a kid who drove a Scion TC; that kid is Siam Chautavipat. Since then he has upgraded and graduated, making a name for himself in the Northwest going from stock 240's, to a Super Made coupe, to this 400+ horsepower beast that we were prepping to get painted over the weekend.   The night before… Read More

WashingTON OF RAIN UP IN’IS WENCH!

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011
Last Saturday, Joe Ayala and I made the trek up to Kent, Washington for the final round of the PGP Winter Drift Series. Considering Joe's exhausting drive up from San Francisco the day before, I did what any good friend would do and slept the entire way up. As we neared the track, we spotted this relatively appealing 350Z cruising down the highway. This driver apparently misunderstood the concept of a rolling shot and proceeded to drive… Read More
