May 6th, 2011, marked the first day drifting has ever been allowed on the Jackson County Sports Park kart track, located in White City, Oregon, since its opening in 1996. Having autocrossed on this track, in this very car, back in late '07, I've been chomping at the bit to drift here for quite a while. Thanks to a local European car club, RogueEuro.com, this dream became a reality. Read More
When Pacific Northwest Original Gangsters (OGs, if you will) Rob Primozich and Ian Dillon invited me up to see the new livery being applied to Rob's 2JS14, they hardly imagined I would make the drive up from Oregon for the occasion, but once Little Caesars and Coors Light entered the equation, I couldn't say no. I'm an A-goddamn-murican after all. Needless to say, they were surprised and delighted that I made the journey all the way to Northern Washington and rewarded my… Read More
Last Sunday marked the opening day for 2012 drift season at Pat's Acres Racing Complex, commonly known as PARC, hosted by Loki Motorsports. In addition to this, it would also be the first time that the track's new extensions would be driven on. Having these new extensions would help the track have a better flow for the avid drift enthusiasts that regularly attend. … Read More
As we begin our 2012 adventures, I thought it would be worth looking over our first year, seeing how we've progressed and if anything needs to be reevaluated. We learned a lot for sure, and for sure there's a lot more to learn. As many of you already know, Geoff and I came up with the concept while driving through Yosemite on the way to Las Vegas last year. He was shooting for Works Magazine… Read More
While digging through thousands (okay, hundreds maybe) of my photos from this year, I came upon this conclusion: I need to either take way more photos or stop altogether. That being said, here is a compilation of not the greatest photos, but rather the greatest moments of 2011 that I happened to capture with my picture taking device. Shown above is an upset Chinese toddler whose stupid mother purchased the wrong flavor instant soup.… Read More
Most of you remember Justin Shreeve's canine companion from our interview a few months back. Well I got a chance to follow him around during his Christmas vacation. In this, I hope to give you a deeper look into the life of this curious soul, this stoic creature, this living question mark we know as Fuzz. Read More
What I'll miss about metal quarter panels is rubbing off the excess sidewall when running fresh tires and seeing the looks on the faces of concerned pedestrians and drivers alike. I'll also miss occasionally being pushed down the highway by the likes of Joe Ayala or Geoff Pitts BECAUSE MISSILE CAR. The thing is, I'm starting to grow up (kinda) and my car is following suit and that's okay. Life sucks without change. Here's to a new generation of mine and Joe's cars. One filled with big lips, stretched… Read More
A week ago Friday I was greeted by the young, rich, and tasteless Joe Ayala. The plan was to drink until the pain over. But, what's worse - the pain or the hangover? Seriously though, the plan was to hang out with our good friends Yoshi Shindo, Walker Wilkerson, and Kyle Pollard and then head down to Thunderhill Raceway where we would be driving our cars for the first time on track. The last year of my life has been filled with many great adventures and fun times spent with friends. I've traveled the country more than ever, following the Formula Drift Series, and have even found my way overseas to Rudskogen, Norway for Gatebil and Tianjin, China for the World Drift Series. I've done so much in such a short amount of time that I'm finding it difficult to keep it all in. Luckily, I'm a member of the media, which is a group of people who are constantly taking photos and video of each other for… Read More
I don't even know what to say about Joe and Justin's new teaser. All I know is they better be millionaires after the full length movie comes out! .: Bohan
Competition day finally came around. Team America's cars had only arrived on the previous day, but everyone was able to get their cars running fine before the event started. Ross took his bike out on the track to check it out. Read More
The following two days went by fairly fast. Most of our time we spent going to the big street markets to find some cool stuff to bring home. The big market we liked was a little too far to walk to, so we got courageous and headed to the streets to get some cabs. Read More
As some of you may know, Justin Shreeve and I got the opportunity to join Larry Chen in filming the World Drift Series in Tianjin, China. Our Journey began Saturday night, as we were meeting Larry and the U.S. drivers for the event at LAX. Justin and I arrived to the airport a few hours early, so we had time to mess around with our cameras… Read More
Off with the old and on with the new. As some of you may know, Justin and I recently picked up some new kicks for our cars. His 17x10.5 +11 Work VS-KFs and my 17x10.5 +11 Work VS-XXs would be the first proper set of wheels that our cars have worn. Justin wasted no time on converting his car to 5 lug. While under his car he increased his steering angle a lot more by throwing in some Cor Integration knuckles (chuckles) by John Corvinus, Tein tie rods, and a pair of steering… Read More
So after an amazing weekend of Drift Evolution and then a day in Willows California for Thunder Drift Rd. 4, Justin Shreeve and I made our way to Kent Washington for our first Extreme Drift Competition at Pacific Grand Prix. Justin and I made our way from Medford Oregon to Portland via Greyhound and then to Kent in his girlfriends Ford Focus. While on the bus, we made use of our time and edited some stuff from Thunder Drift. Coverage on that coming soon. Read More
AYALA - Yeah! Drift Evolution starts again! This is the 4th round out of 6 this year. The event seems to bring more and more interest with every event, bringing drivers from all along the west coast. Justin wasn't taking any chances driving his unregistered and uninsured car to this event as he had in the past. So he had it towed by the Tandem of Die support vehicle, Joseph Shreeve's Chevy Luv.
