Road Atlanta is a lot of people's favorite track. Personally, I like it because of all the colors and the lack of fences. That makes it an easy place to shoot. It's a favorite for fans because of the layout. Instead of parking your car, walking hella far, and sitting in your seat, you can drive your car almost right up to the track, have a tailgate party, set up a canopy, bring your own chairs and a cooler, and chill. For the drivers, they like the fact that it's an actual road course as opposed to an oval or…

After a quick off-season full of rumors and anticipation, we finally got to see everyone's cards on the table. Daigo Saito's entry into Formula D was one of the most talked-about subjects but there were plenty of other changes too.

Long Beach is only two weeks away, and a lot of teams are scrambling to get their cars ready in time. Conrad needed new graphics so I went down to his personal shop in Monterey to make that happen. This year's design is only a little bit different from last year's, but it's still a good amount of work to get it all done. Taking vinyl off can actually take longer than putting it on, depending on what it was stuck to.

Gabe's car came back from paint finally, so I went down to Blu808 to check it out. I don't see too many bright red E36's so this one will be an eyecatcher for sure!

When I showed up, gabe was grinding the paint away from the rear subframe mounting points so they could be welded all the way around. They're just spot…

Last Saturday was ThunderDrift's Full-Track February event. Upon arrived to the track, I found our favorite red dreaded Formula D dude, Luke Crowell, out rippin' in his Cressida.

Today I took a trip down to Blu808 to see what was going on. Luke always has interesting projects going on, and I was specifically interested in seeing how Gabe Stone's E36 M3 was coming along. Long Beach is coming up fast. Will Gabe be ready?

I brought a Blasting Cap for Luke. He was so excited to wear it that he almost…

Right in the middle of my
Epic Thanksgiving Geoff and I shot down south for the Bob's Donuts Annual Day After Thanksgiving Trackday at Buttonwillow. I've been going to this event since 2005 but it's been happening way longer than that. It never fails to be one of the funnest trackdays of the year.

I made my way back to the track and got there just in time for the first time attack session of the day. The racing surface had dried out and I finally got to see Chris Rado's new TC. I'm actually surprised they haven't banned the ridiculous front wing yet. I guess no one has complained about it yet, so he got to leave it on and set the Unlimited FF class record at 1:45.116. …

The other day I was chilling at Blu808 and Luke said to me, "Hey, we're doing Global Time Attack at Infineon!" "Cool," I said. "I'll be there." So today I drove up to Sears Point to catch my first time attack since earlier this year when Redline was at WSIR. I don't know the whole story behind RTA's demise (it
is really gone, isn't it?) but I'm happy another series has filled the empty…

Ahhh SEMA, that once a year excuse to go to Vegas that has nearly everyone in the automotive industry working overtime for weeks. The paint on some of the cars is only days old when they show up at the convention center, and the whole place is buzzing with news of all the new things happening in 2012.

As soon as I got back from Thunderhill it was time to cut Luke's new graphics since his car is going to SEMA. After Irwindale he got some new body panels and took the car over to the body shop to get it fixed up and painted. We decided on Torch Red this time, which is a factory Corvette color.

Today was Blu808's annual summer BBQ, and Luke partnered up with Proper Styles to throw the biggest bash to date. The parking lot was completely packed, and I parked blocking someone in. As soon as I did that, someone blocked me in. I was gonna stay a while anyway, so whatever.

I promptly found…

As the halfway point in the season, Round 3 of the TD ProAm Championship was sure to be interesting. Would the points leaders widen their gap or would there be a huge upset? If points were missed there might not be enough to catch back up. Pro licenses would be on the line. It would be nail-biting edge-of-your-seat excitement to say the least.

It was TD Garage's first birthday last weekend, so Kia threw a BBQ! Just in case you don't know, TD Garage is a Subaru shop in Walnut Creek. So if you have a broken Subaru, Kia is your man. He also has a constant supply of JDM engines and other goodies. Check him out sometime.

This is Kia. He…
