Mission Peak, above Fremont, is one of the Bay Area's most accessible mountain hikes. It's by no means the highest peak, but it's on the first ridge out of the basin so you can see the entire Bay Area from the summit. I hadn't been up to the top in almost a year, so I asked Joe if he wanted to go on a hike!

I don't know what we'd do without Facebook. On Friday our friend (who just happens to be an officer on the Oakland Police Department) posted a flyer about this protest event called "March Against Repression: Fuck OPD" and said "Here we go again."

A couple weeks ago, Geoff, Joe and I ventured over to west Oakland to march to the port with the Occupiers. It had been a while since they were kicked out of Frank Ogawa Plaza so we were anxious to see what was going to happen. Would the police block them from closing the port? Would the teamsters and longshoremen support or oppose the protest? We fell in line to find out.

What a year 2011 has been. It's been such a privilege to be a part of the Life Blasters crew, and I can't wait for what 2012 holds in store for us. My first Life Blasters post was on the PGP event in March, so I think I'll start with that. Jason Cancio has probably my absolute favorite car that drives that track. Not for its JDM radness, but for its pure originality. Stock metal, stock wheels, stock aero, slammed rwd STi hatch cannot lose.…

Once upon a time in Oakland, I went with the boys from Performance Options to a rap video shoot on Mare Island, a decommissioned military facility north of the SF Bay Area. Wait a moment... let me do some explaining to prepare you for what you're about to read before I continue. This may prove to be the most difficult to understand article you've ever…

Every few months Frank Siharath from Garage Boso comes up to Performance Options in Oakland to do some ECU tuning on NorCal cars. This time, Pat Mordaunt drove up with Frank and took a few moments from his busy day to let me interview him. Thanks Pat!

Aaron used to drift. When the time came for him to grow up, he chose to move on to death machines of the two wheeled variety, and picked up this 1970 Honda CL450.

A few months ago, Geoff and I were rolling around west Oakland when we spotted this building with two walls covered in graffiti. Oakland is no stranger to graffiti, but this stuff was different. On the south wall, there seemed to be a lot of Japanese manga or anime influence, as well as a few qualities that make it look…

If you don't know me, you probably don't know that I'm in the long, drawn-out process of buying a house right now. While this process takes place, I've been staying with friends around the bay area. For the month of August my friend Yusef was kind enough…

Drew and I have done a ton of traveling over the past year, and we've seen some really epic stuff. Here are my favorites.
