Wekfest Part 2 ● People

The cars are cool, but for us, it's usually the people that make an event fun and memorable. Wekfest is usually the first event of the year where we get reunited with our out-of-town photog buddies and see all our local friends in one place.
Living in Oakland I'm just a short drive across the bay bridge and over the hills to the beaches of my hometown, Half Moon Bay. Yesterday my friend enlightened me to the fact that there is a beach on the east side of the bay, and since it was hot and gross outside we went to Alameda to check it out. It was a little bit smoggy, but the view was very interesting. A beach with San Francisco in the background? Awesome. …
Our friend, who shall remain nameless, was kind enough to let us shoot her with a LifeBlasters sticker pastie a few months ago. We published the picture momentarily, but being a booth model for a high profile company, it got her in big trouble! Now, a few months later she has left the company in search of bigger and better things, so guess what that means for us? Post time! Dear friend, we wish you the best of luck in your new ventures! So after our little escapade down in Portland, Justin, Geoff and I woke up at the crack of noon, very hungover, packed our shit in Geoff's S14 (no homo) and jammed up for Seattle for the driftings! It was as uncomfortable as you think.
