Who's the boss? Joey Gauthier.

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011
Joey Gauthier is the owner of Oakland's (and probably the world's) best spot for Toyota modification, Performance Options.  PO is responsible for some of the Bay Area's most legendary drift cars, like Xander Newell's S13, Richard Kong's SR20 AE86 Corolla, Rick Cunanan's F22 Turbo powered AE86, and his own Formula Atlantic 4A-GE powered AE86, just to name a few.  The shop basically specializes… Read More

Schwing!

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011
Our friend, who shall remain nameless, was kind enough to let us shoot her with a LifeBlasters sticker pastie a few months ago.  We published the picture momentarily, but being a booth model for a high profile company, it got her in big trouble!  Now, a few months later she has left the company in search of bigger and better things, so guess what that means for us?  Post time!  Dear friend, we wish you the best of luck in your new ventures!  Cheers!   -G  … Read More

Shreeveless in Seattle
…with Shreeve.

Friday, July 22nd, 2011
After a last minute engine-out job on my S14 at Luke Lonberger's shop, Blu808, I was ready for the trip to FD Evergreen.  I started the voyage by picking up my blaster pal Joe Ayala at his swanky apartment in San Francisco at 6:00am on Tuesday.   The first… Read More

This week in 35mm film

Thursday, July 14th, 2011
This post contains the results of me shooting a roll of my favorite film, cheap-ass Fuji 800, and a roll of expired Kodak Gold 400 over the past week.  Saturday night Drew and I got a call from our friend Chloe who had just aced an important test for her major.  She wanted us to meet her at a spot really far from Hayward for drinks.  "They have a polar bear!"… Read More

RKR + FD New Jersey: an 8mm set.

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011
Formula Drift's 4th round was another crazy one for me.  Working with the Kado crew meant an awesome road-trip to cover, and another event of not being able to shoot while Ryan is driving due to my spotting for him.  In addition, the weather gods made the trip very interesting both at the track, and out on the open road.  Check out Bohan's news flash from right after the storm hit… Read More

Wednesday Win-Day Episode VI

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011
Bohan: We left Art's arcade and headed over to drop off a load of shirts at our favorite Donut shop, Bob's Donuts. We were in a rush because our friend Amanda was working there that night, and had demanded that we arrive before 1:30am to say hi. Read More

Wednesday Win-Day Episode V

Friday, April 1st, 2011
Pitts: Kia and Erika left our group after we were done at Rudy's, and Joe, Drew and I continued on to San Francisco. We stopped by Art's place in the Tenderloin, where we waited 15 minutes for him to come outside. Drew and I were in the CRX and Joe was in his truck, neither was a vehicle with which Art was familiar, so he stayed behind his gate where we couldn't see him, and his phone was upstairs charging so he wasn't getting our texts like "dude hurry… Read More

Burney Mac Car

Saturday, March 26th, 2011

This is a 90's Mercury Mystique that I acquired a few years back for free with intentions of building a 24hrs of LeMons car. When I fired it up it had a rod knock (see: sexy jesus) and I wasn't about to swap the motor out, so I donated it to SCCA's worker training program. It has subsequently been rolled over several times, and burned to a crisp. Awesome. Can't wait to see what it looks like after Jaws of Life training!

Hello, everyone! I'm Justin Shreeve, writing on behalf of myself and Joe Ajalealaa a. We take pictures and video of stuff sometimes and it's awesome. Hi guys, This is Joe now. Justin is over writing. Surprise trip to WSIR

Tuesday, March 8th, 2011

Since around January, Drew and I have been planning to go to a blues show in SF with my Mom. Thursday before the show, Drew calls me and tells me he can't make it because Luke Lonberger has an opportunity to test-drift his 2011 Formula DRIFT car at Willow Springs the same day. After a lot of considering I ended up tagging along, which sounds like a small feat, but brother, it wasn't.

Lab17 x NOS + WekFest = Woohoo!

Sunday, February 20th, 2011
It's 1:00am, and Drew and I are responsible for printing tons of NOS Energy Drink banners and stickers for WekFest tomorrow out on a pier in SF. Perfect time for hot chocolate + Sailor Jerry, and plenty of rocking out upstairs in the studio while the printer is doing its thing. See you all later today!

Snow at 1600ft

Thursday, February 17th, 2011
There aren't many good things about the crappy little town I live in, but the occasional snow day is certainly one of them. This was shot out of my front door, now I'm going to venture to higher elevations nearby to see if there are any cool snow-shots to be had.

Happy shooting,

Tales from the roadside

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011
My shutter-finger has been itchy lately and my most recent project ended up being a dud, so when I saw this crazy dino on the side of highway 20 near Grass Valley, CA I just had to stop and shoot it. -G Read More
