On New Year’s Eve 2008, Geoff and I and a few other people were wandering around the Columbus/Broadway area in San Francisco where all the strip clubs are. We happened upon this awesome guy in an alley spouting nonsense and writing poetry or something. I think Geoff gave him that broken cigarette and someone else gave him five bucks. I’m sure this guy was having a hell of a time that night. He’d probably blasted some life in his time too.
