TD Garage's First Birthday

It was TD Garage’s first birthday last weekend, so Kia threw a BBQ! Just in case you don’t know, TD Garage is a Subaru shop in Walnut Creek. So if you have a broken Subaru, Kia is your man. He also has a constant supply of JDM engines and other goodies. Check him out sometime.

This is Kia. He is one hairy dude. What did you expect? He’s Persian.
He is a master griller too! Burgers…everyone does burgers. Dogs…yea. Kia BBQ’s corn on the cob! Yum! So good!
Kia loves stencils and paints all over his walls. The Mr. T one is a new one to me.
And a Tandem of Die one??? Whoa!!
Joe Chang of Auto-Logic brought his dog Boost. He commented that since Luke Lonberger has a dog named Turbo, he’s just waiting for someone to name their dog Supercharger. I dunno about that one, Joe. If I got a dog I would name it Tie Rod. Either that or Blaster.
Speaking of Luke, he thought Kia’s TD Burgers were delicious. Nom nom nom.
He was there in his daily driver Genesis. He lowered it with his plasma cutter.
Don Ahn of Bob’s Donuts fame brought his new GT-R. I got to drive it a few weeks ago but I couldn’t really get on it since it wasn’t broken in yet. Still it seems like a fun car to drive once you get past all the weirdness.
Oh look, it’s Maggie with my old 30D! And my old Tamron 18-200 that I sold to Geoff first before Maggie got it. Geoff’s the one who made it colorful. I love how all that stuff stays in the family. I wonder if Maggie knows I spilled a Margarita on it in San Diego in 2007. LOL.
Wendy, Rich Kong’s wife, is looking pretty plump. She’s due in September!
I didn’t actually meet this guy, but at first I thought it was George Bond, Jr., our old drifting buddy from the Shock Drifting/Altamont days. He lives in New Jersey now. George does, not the guy in the photo. I don’t know who that guy is.
The TD Garage themed cupcakes were delicious.
The guests approved!
Here’s to a great first birthday and many more to come!
