Aaron used to drift. When the time came for him to grow up, he chose to move on to death machines of the two wheeled variety, and picked up this 1970 Honda CL450.
Since he bought the bike in 2010 he freshened it up so the bike would be ready to perform, and look way more badass.
Installation of pod filters, straight uncorked exhaust with no mufflers whatsoever, clip-on handlebars, and removal of the stock fenders are just a few of the modifications he’s completed so far.
In the near future he plans to beef up the bike even more with a fresh tires, fresh spokes, and a completely custom exhaust. This puppy’s going to scream!
After Mexican food, sometimes Aaron gets gas.
In Aaron’s words “I like the vintage Café Racer look because it’s badass, and I’m a fuckin’ rebel.” He’s also attracted to the idea of riding in a tucked race-inspired body position even when he’s rolling through the streets of his hometown, Oakland California. Sounds cool to me!
As I’m sure you noticed in the rear-quarter shot, the tail light and seat on this bike are pretty weak. Don’t worry, he’s got plans for a custom setup that will push the overall motif of this bike farther in the Café direction. Expect to see more shots of Aaron and his Café Racer ’70 Honda in the near future.
